Erica Packer, the famous Australian model and singer and former wife of James Packer, the second richest Australian, has dropped $13.9 million on a huge Bel Air mansion, according to reports.
Erica and James announced their split in September 2013 after six years of marriage. In a November interview with Vogue, Erica revealed that their careers got in the way of their relationship and divorce was inevitable. However, she added that she would move on with her three young children and try to remain friends with James.
Erica reportedly earned a $100 million divorce settlement, which James readily agreed to, according to insiders.
"It wouldn't be correct to say she is over the moon about the settlement because clearly there is a great deal of sadness attached to this money, but she is happy and feels the amount does allow her to move on and make a good life for herself and the kids," a friend of the couple told Daily Telegraph. "It also gives her an incentive to remain on very good terms with her ex."
The source also told the publication that Erica would soon be moving to the United States and making a home and life for her and the children there.
Earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported that Erica was renting out a $100,000-a-month palatial Beverly Hills pad. It was the most expensive estate in the area and was once rented by "Skyfall" singer Adele as well.
However, the Trulia Blog is reporting that Erica has purchased a huge single-family residence worth $13.5 million in Bel Air. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home spans an area of 10,354 square feet and sits in a gated area. The double-story, multi-winged home has plush hardwood floors, exposed wood beamed ceilings and French windows and doors. An office, a maid's room, a family room and a gourmet kitchen make up the lower level, while the upper floor has the bedrooms, the master suite and a media room.
Outside, the home has a pool, a spa and a pool house.

While Erica is settling down into the huge pad with the kids, James is spending a lot of time on the West Coast, and is reportedly looking to invest in Hollywood.
"I had a marriage breakdown last year. The last thing I think I am is perfect. I'm just trying to do the best job I can. I'm trying to be the best father I can to my kids. I'm trying to do the best job I can running my business," James told Forbes.
