Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth: Pop Singers’ Kiss Stuns AMAs 2015 Crowd; Both Singers Slammed Dating Rumors

Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth set tongues wagging with their PDA-filled performance at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday night, Nov.15. "Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on," the two sang together as they ended their collaboration with hot kisses in front of the public.

Trainor and Puth aren't a couple, but the flirty act of ending their song, left the audience stunned. The steamy kisses of the two singers happened when Luke Bryan was about to accept his Best Country Male award. All people in the AMAs were surprised about their kiss onstage, while they also created headlines in the social media, E! News reports. An insider dished that the kiss was all "planned" and it was "happening" during their practices.

"Charlie and Meghan getting it on over there smooching," Bryan said. "It rolled after the commercial break too."

Although Trainor and Puth swiftly set off dating rumors after the two made out in public, the pop stars claimed that they are just plain friends. A rep for the "All About That Bass" singer revealed that they are just good friends. Puth on the other hand, claimed that their performance was all part of the show, according to Just Jared via Tv3.

"There was a lot of making out back stage. The dancers were making out and I'm sure some of the other dancers were making out. I think that's it though," Puth said jokingly. "We're friends and it's all part of my whole vision when I made Marvin Gaye, for people to hear the record and spontaneously make out with each other. That was the goal tonight for the live show."

The "One Call Away" crooner also puts the record straight on his Twitter page some minutes away after their controversial performance. He wrote, "before it begins...we are just friends. so happy to preform with meghan tonight!! thank you for all the love everybody! :)." Now that Trainor and Puth had cleared the rumors, people might as well put everything behind as it is all part of the show.
