Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) relationship with her sisters will be the main focus of the new episode of "Empire" season 2.
According to Christian Post Cookie's older sister Candace (Vivica A. Fox) will be making an appearance in the new episode and the two will be working on looking for their younger sister Carol (Tasha Smith) who has gone missing. In the official synopsis for "Empire" season 2 episode 9 it was revealed that Cookie will be asking the help of a former inmate which will be played by guest star Rosie O'Donnell to help them rescue her sister.
It was said that the episode will show Cookie's relationship with her sister Candace and it was reported that the two will not get along well. However, the two must be able to put aside their differences if they want to find Carol and save her before it is too late. Meanwhile it was also reported that Cookie will also deal with her lover Laz (Adam Rodriguez) as she will discover that Laz was involved with the gang who kidnapped Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray). It was revealed that Laz is slowly falling for Cookie and this revelation may make or break his relationship with her.
On other news, International Business Times reported that Jamal (Jussie Smollett) will collaborate will be working with an artist named Skye Summers (guest star Alicia Keys) and the two will be connecting on a deeper level and in the teaser for the episode the two can be seen singing and playing the piano together. Meanwhile, Anika (Grace Gealey) will start to lose her mind after the shocking discovery that she is pregnant with Hakeem's child. In the promotional video, she can be seen confronting Hakeem and trying to force him to admit that he is in love with her.
"Empire" season 2 episode 9 will air on November 25 on Fox.
