'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers: Will Jo Accept Alex's Proposal? Martin Henderson Talks About Nathan's Past With Owen

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 mid-season finale aired last week and the episode showed a lot of cliffhangers for the fans to anticipate the return of the show in early 2016.

One of the cliffhangers was the proposal of Alex Karev(Justin Chambers) to Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington). Jo was reportedly shocked with the proposal as she was about to dump Alex because he was being secretive with his friend Meredith Grey (EllenPompeo). Little did Jo know, Alex was being secretive with Meredith because he was planning the big proposal to her. Fans are now wondering if Jo will accept his proposal or not.

Meanwhile, Latin Post reported that there is another revelation that was added in the mid-season finale as more details about Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) relationship with Owen Hunt (Kevin Mckidd) are exposed. The doctors dealt with a massive fire which injured Owen's mother Evelyn (Debra Mooney) firefighter boyfriend which paved the way for the latter to make an appearance in the hospital. Evelyn then sees Nathan and embraces him and even called her "ma." This led to the discovery that Owen has a sister and she may be the missing link as to why Owen hates Nathan so much.

In an interview, actor Martin Henderson talked about Nathan's past with Owen and hinted that there may be some assumptions about their past but the details given in the show is still very sparse. He added that Nathan and Owen are clearly connected somehow and he may have a certain relationship with Owen's sister.

Yibada also reported that Henderson talked about some calling him being the new "McDreamy" and the possible new love interest of Meredith in the show. He teased that Nathan and Meredith will be butting heads because of Meredith's anger with him and this may affect their work with their patients.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 is currently on a break but will be back on ABC on February 11, 2016.
