Jennifer Lawrence's movies never fail to amaze the audience. However, a different trend was seen after the award-winning actress' "Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" fails to spark the U.S. Box Office. Her latest film leads the North American box office over the weekends, but, it fell short of last year's installment that opened at $121.9 million the same week.
So far, the final and fourth installment of "Hunger Games" ended with a domestic gross of $101 million in North America. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the final Katniss Everdeen- starrer also fell behind the worldwide bow of $247 million. The site claims that its worldwide and domestic sales were unsuccessful, giving that it rolled out in 87 markets including China. The first film was billed as the biggest movie with a female lead with a $152 million sales in 2012.
Despite Lawrence's movies, the Lionsgate Domestic Distribution Executive, David Spitz believes that " It's a pretty unbelievable achievement any time you have a movie that results in a $100 million-plus opening, which has only happened 34 times in our business." Spitz added that with "the upcoming holidays, we have a tremendous runway ahead of us."
Meanwhile, as Lawrence's movies are heading a not so good score in the box office, Chris Martin's ex may now find a man, who will date her on a Saturday night. As Realty Today earlier reported, the 25-year-old was complaining about her lonely nights as she finds it hard to find her date. However, Travis Fishburn, an Idaho's Boise-based a former Navy Seal proposed to date her on a video recorded clip. She reportedly broke up with the Coldplay frontman after an on-again, off-again romance.
"Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" also stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
