It has been a while since Katy Perry released a music video, and the new H&M Holiday Commercial is just the perfect way to compensate the longing of her fans.
From singing to dancing to elves, everything is festive in the new commercial flick from H&M. Katy Perry sure did share her magic for the campaign.
The "Firework" singer was first put into limelight when her single, “I Kissed A Girl,” was launched. Her style is like of the fairies in every girl’s fantasy world. Perry has been using this theme in most of her music videos such as "California Girls," "Last Friday Night" and "Dark Horse," which are very much loved by young boys and girls.
The new commercial shows Perry as a fairy with green hair dancing with giant gingerbread men, toy soldiers and elves. The catchy song in the background also adds up to the festive feeling of the video. Shoppers can expect to hear more of the song in every H&M store they visit.
Perry told Yahoo Style, "I swear, I'm not pitching anything to you here, but when I was a teenager, we didn't have a lot of money, and H&M really changed the game for me. I would go to thrift stores and I would go to H&M, and I would put outfits together for myself, and feel like I looked like a hundred dollars when really, I'd spent maybe $30. And I can still do that now with their clothes!"
Perry also said that one of her favorites from the line is the “Elfie” sweater, which she said she would probably end up adding to her cold-weather wardrobe.
“It’s great! I loved that sweatshirt. There are some really cute things in this campaign. Things I would have already worn in real life. And when I first heard ‘Elfie Selfie,’ I couldn’t stop laughing,” she added.
Forbes has recently named Katy Perry as the world's highest-paid woman in music 2015 and her net worth, now at $260 million, is expected to soar because of that.
