Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's Dream Home is Up for Sale; Why Does The Star Duo's Luxurious Home Come with a Hefty Price Tag?

After spending millions in extensive renovations, reality star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have decided to sell their home in Bel Air, California for a whopping $20 million.

Popsugar reports that the couple had listed their homes for $15.2 million just last year; however, it appears the duo decided to complete the renovation and sell the property for an incredible profit, considering they have bought it for only $9 million two years ago.

Reports also claim that the power couple spent about $2 million for an expansive renovation of their dream Euro-style home, which was inspired by a trip to Versailles. The property now features a movie theater, a gym, a bowling alley, a basketball court, a glam room, and an indoor pool. Last but not the least, the duo also spent $750,000, nearly half of their renovation budget, on four gold-plated toilets.

However, after getting tired of waiting for the renovation of the Bel Air home to be completed, ABPLive reported that Kim and Kanye purchased a mansion in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles in Aug. 2014. The new 16,000-square-foot property features eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, two swimming pools, a 1000-square foot pavilion, and two vineyards. Allegedly, the tree-acre mansion has a certain privacy that the Bel Air home lacked.

According to a source close to the couple, ''Kanye wants to show off the Hidden Hills mansion now that they've finished renovations. Kanye considers himself to have an eye for interior design and fashion, and wants to show off what he considers some of his greatest work, the mansion.' Kim also wants to show off her 'over-the-top closet and garage with their luxury cars', the source added.

In related news, the star duo also bought another property next to the newly-purchased mansion earlier this year so they have additional space in case they want to renovate and expand their home further in the future.
