After last year's havoc caused by anonymous hackers who get into personal accounts of different stars and leaked their intimate photos, Gigi Hadid is now the target of the hacking scheme.
According to Mirror.co.uk, Victoria's Secret model Gigi Hadid has been contacted by anonymous hackers who threatened her of leaking her intimate photos and videos from her iCloud account and that they will sell the photos to different media outlets unless they get paid.
However, Gigi refused the hackers' demand and hired a private investigator instead to know who are behind the blackmailing.
The stars who fell victim on last year's hacking incident were Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard, Gabrielle Union and many other who got their photos published in a website called 4chan.
In a report by Daily Mail, the threat came after Gigi Hadid's debut as a Victoria's Secret Angel together with her best friend, Kendall Jenner, at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015.
This is not the first time Gigi Hadid has experienced a harassment from other people who wanted her attention. Last July, Gigi was forced to leave her $2.45 million SoHo apartment after Marcell Porter, an obsessed fan, "allegedly entered her home after getting past security." Prior to that incident, Porter has been allegedly professing her love for the model through Facebook posts were he said "I LOVE U. I KNOW EVERYTHING NOW. WAIT FOR ME SOULMATE."
Jennifer Lawrence, one of the victims of the hacking incidents last year, said that laws needed to be changed to better protect the privacy of everyone. She said, "It is not a scandal [leaking their nude photos]. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."
Other stars who got victimized were Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba in which as of this date, no arrest has been made but a suspect has already been identified.
