Robert Redford's former NYC pad hits market

Robert Redford's former pad at 47 East 67th Street, between Madison and Park avenues, has been listed for $1,395,000, reports the New York Post.

During his heydays in the 1980s, the 77-year-old actor used the cozy little co-op to unwind, the place reportedly serving as his home away from home. According to Alexis Van Der Mike, the current listing agent of the co-op, Redford's neighbors still talk about the days when he lived there.

The duplex property includes a full loft bedroom and a half bedroom. It also features an open living area with double-height ceiling, a dining area, renovated chef's kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace.

The place last sold in 2006 when its current owners bought it for just $965,000. Unfortunately, the property's records prior to 1999 are not available.

According to The Real Deal, Redford's recent ventures include a $150 million multi-screen movie theater in the tri-state region. The theater is scheduled to open this spring at Dobbs Ferry in Westchester County.

The theater, which will have facilities for screening eight movies simultaneously, is the maiden Sundance Cinemas complex in the Eastern United States and will incorporate 233 luxury rental units, a 120-room posh hotel, five restaurants, as many as 20 retailers and parking space for 1,000 cars.
