Ashok Amritraj, India-born Hollywood producer, has purchased a new mansion in Bel Air for $8.25 million, reports the Los Angeles Times. Not surprisingly, the 58-year-old also listed his Sherman Oaks home for $2,199,900.
His new Italian-style mansion sits on a half acre and is spread over 11,500 square feet. The villa includes seven bedrooms, eight full and one half bathrooms. The property also features a double-story foyer, four fireplaces, an elevator, hand-carved detailing and a garage that can accommodate six cars.
On the outside, the property includes a large swimming pool, lush green lawn and a spa.
Meanwhile, the ranch-style home in Sherman Oaks that Amritraj has listed has five bedrooms and six full bathrooms. This property sits on a 1-acre lot and offers 4,381 square feet of living space. It is complete with a family room, an office, a wet bar and an exercise room. It also features vaulted ceilings and, on the outside, a tennis court and swimming pool.
The Sherman Oaks property is listed with Keith Geller of Realty Network Properties, while Arline Bolin of Nelson Shelton & Associates acted as the listing agent of the new Bel Air home.
Amritraj, brother of the famous tennis star Vijay Amritraj, is currently the chief executive of Hyde Park Entertainment. He has produced numerous Hollywood and Indian films, including blockbusters like "Machete," "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" and "Bandits."
