Dave Navarro, current host of "Ink Master" and founding member of the rock band Jane's Addiction, has just put his 1,570-square-foot bachelor pad in Hollywood up for sale for $949,000, reports Forbes.
Built in 1928, this condo has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. While the space is comparatively small, it offers 15-foot ceilings, a gourmet kitchen and adjoining dining and living areas. The kitchen is equipped with black quartz kitchen countertops, an Anne Sachs mirrored backsplash and stainless appliances. Visible from the home is the Hollywood sign as well as the Capitol Records tower.
The residence is akin to a boutique hotel and features designer wall units and - should the buyer want it - Navarro's white, vinyl-upholstered platform bed designed by Heidi Toll. The front entrance features crushed vinyl wallpaper, while the bright red and black tiles and a custom mirror in the bathroom are the home's main features.
A similar condo in the same building is up for grabs for just $745,000. However, located one floor below Navarro's, the residence's rooms are somewhat smaller and, as the rockstar's agent, Skyler Hynes of the Coldwell Banker Previews International, points out, Navarro spent $125,000 renovating his place while he was there.
Property reports show that the former member of Red Hot Chili Peppers purchased the fifth-floor apartment located at the Broadway Hollywood for $1.04 million in 2007 for the Navarro's Spread Entertainment Trust. He acquired the home following his divorce from his third wife Carmen Electra, and lived here until recently, when he bought another residence in Hancock Park.
As the Broadway Hollywood tower is listed on both the California as well as the National Historical registers, the buyer will enjoy a tax break of about 40 percent, the agent says. Originally, the building was used as offices for the Broadway department store before it was converted into residences. The promoters have updated the common spaces of the building, adding in a rooftop pool with cabanas and a fireplace. A full-service doorman and 24-hour valet parking are also available.
