Bruce Willis gives Idaho home $1.2 million price cut, now asking $8.8 million

Bruce Willis, star of the blockbuster "Die Hard," is selling hard. According to several news sources, Willis has given his Idaho estate a price cut of $1.2 million, bringing the asking price down to just $8.8 million.

Willis first listed the large estate for $15 million in 2011. The Zillow Blog reported that the "Sixth Sense" star was selling because he does not spend much time in Idaho.

This is not the house's first price chop. In 2012, the price was reduced to $13 million, while 2013 saw the price plunge from $12 million to $10 million.

Listing records of the home state that the residence is a 8,403-square-foot, single-family home comprised of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms sitting on a 20-acre lot. Interiors of the home feature high wood-beamed ceilings, wooden doors and glass windows with hardwood flooring.

The residence has an open floor plan with a formal living area, a dining place, a modern kitchen, a gym and a 2,200-square-foot master suite with attached baths. Outside, the estate has a separate guest house, a pool with slides and waterfall features, several ponds and streams and ample parking space.

The listing, held by Sotheby's International Realty and Janine Bear, describes the place as a "Custom home situated on the Flying Heart lake with a pond, flowing streams and a splashy custom pool with a waterslide."

Willis also owned the Soldier Mountain Ski Area and a downtown pub called "Mint." He listed the pub for sale for $6 million initially but brought the price down to $4.5 million in 2012. Meanwhile, he donated the ski area to the community of Fairfield.

In more Willis real estate news, the actor recently reduced the price of his Beverly Hills mansion to $18 million. The home debuted for $22 million but underwent two price chops to reach its current price. He also purchased "U2" bassist Adam Clayton's New York City residence for $8.7 million last year.
