Holly Hunter, Academy Award-winning actress known for her roles in "The Piano" and "The Incredibles," has slashed the asking price for her Greenwich Village co-op pad by $450,000, reports StreetEasy.
The actress listed the property located on Manhattan's coveted Fifth Avenue for $8.7 million last month and slashed the price to $8.25 million after it remained on the market for 45 days.
Hunter bought the place for $4.1 million from Julia Roberts in 2005.
The designer corner apartment covers 3,000 square feet and has a total of nine rooms, including four elegant bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The property has enough space to upgrade it to a five-bedroom or three bedrooms with an additional study and a sitting room.
While the home boasts a modern kitchen, an abbey table large enough to seat six people easily adorns the dining space.
An earlier report says the property also features two double-windowed offices and a wood-burning fireplace, along with an assortment of innovative architectural detailing, such as coved ceilings and wonderfully preserved unique woodwork. It also boasts paneling, elaborate molding and touches of stained glass.
This Beaux-styled building was constructed in 1905. The foyer of this luxurious dwelling leads to a library with built-in book shelves. French doors connect the living room and dining room, which is directly accessible from the state-of-the-art kitchen.
The floor plan of this posh residence also includes a maid's room, a Jack 'n' Jill bathroom and a master suite with a walk-in closet and study.
While the monthly maintenance fees for the apartment are a staggering $5,841, residents of the building enjoy access to amenities like a vestibule reception room and a 24-hour doorman.
According to reports, Hunter is selling this property to purchase a larger property with adequate space for her twin children. In addition to this apartment, she also owns a 34-acre underdeveloped plot in Conyers, Ga.
