René Echevarria, screenwriter and producer, has listed his double-story Los Feliz, Los Angeles home for $4.2 million. The home once belonged to noted actor, producer and activist Vince Vaughn, reports RealEstalker.
According to the local property records, Echevarria bought this Oaks area home from Vaughn for $4,050,000 in August 2005. Vaughn acquired the property for just $1,575,000 in early 1999.
Built in the 1930s, this 3,578-square-foot Mediterranean-style home has four bedrooms and three full and two half bathrooms. The property also has a detached guest house located behind the swimming pool. The estate is comprised of two parcels, one of which is vacant and undeveloped. In all, the property covers almost three-fourths of an acre and comes with a two-car garage.
This gated property has a side entrance and a long flight of stairs from the motor court leading to the front door, which opens up to a double-story foyer. The foyer has terra cotta tile flooring throughout and bare wooden ceilings. The formal living room also has a lofty ceiling and wooden flooring. A kiva-style fireplace is set between the large wrought-iron and glass windows, while a wooden-framed door leads to an expansive dining terrace.
The eat-in kitchen, which is accessible from the living room, opens up to a stone-paved terrace that extends to the area around the swimming pool.
The first floor of the main home has four bedrooms, including a master suite with adjacent bathroom and dressing areas, and two bathrooms. The vintage bathrooms have been updated with modern accessories, including a built-in bench and steam shower. The private terrace outside the kitchen can be accessed directly from the master suite as well as two other family/guest rooms.
The property is complete with an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a kidney-shaped swimming pool and a self-contained guest house with a kitchenette and bathroom.
Currently, Echevarria and his wife Analisa do not live in this home, but have moved to another place in the posh Agoura Hills community, about 20 miles from the Los Angeles city center. Echevarria bought the place with five bedrooms and four full and one half bathrooms for $1,783,405.
