Dan Marino’s former Florida home listed for $2.95 million

Dan Marino's former 9,250-square-foot Parkland palatial home has come up on the market for an asking price of $2.95 million, reports the Sun Sentinel.

Located at 6429 NW 65th Way in Florida, the former Miami Dolphin quarterback's home includes seven bedrooms each with their own bathroom. In addition to an open loft upstairs, the home boasts hurricane doors and windows

According to the listing, the place is complete with a chef kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a built-in barbeque, a separate bar, a movie theater and a Las Vegas-style card room. The house has a total living space of 8,500 square feet and flooring done with marble tile throughout.

On the outside, the property includes a resort-style swimming pool, a spa, a separate kitchen and preparatory room, staff quarters/guest house, a putting green and a half-sized basketball court. The home also comes with a full house generator and an attached garage.

According to property records, the legendary player, who lost his job as a National Football League studio host for CBS, never lived in the home. He purchased it for $2.95 million in 2005, but made an attempt to auction it off in 2008. He sold the property last year for a loss of $600,000. Now, the mansion is back on the market again.

Marino unloaded his approximately 20,000-square-foot Weston mansion in Florida for $7.2 million, though he had listed it for almost double that amount. The former NFL ace purchased the property for $2.15 million in 1995 and spent handsomely to renovate it. Currently, Marino and his wife Claire live in a condo in the same area.

The Parkland home is listed with real estate agent Michael Citron.
