"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 8 saw Jo (Camilla Luddington) ending her relationship with Alex (Justin Chambers).
In "Things We Lost In The Fire," Jo told her long-time boyfriend that she can no longer be with him because she feels that he is prioritizing Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) over her.
However, after Jo said this to Alex, the latter took out an engagement ring and asked Jo to marry him.
Unfortunately, Jo wasn't able to give Alex and answer immediately, and fans believe that there's a chance the former wouldn't accept the latter's proposal.
In the round table discussion on Buddy TV, one person said that although Jo's feelings about Alex and Meredith's closeness are valid and acceptable, she should have considered the fact that she's been with Alex for several years now.
"If his relationship with Meredith was such a problem, she probably should have done something about it a long time ago. I do understand Jo wanting to be put first, and I think Alex understands that," Stacy noted.
She added, "I think she will say yes" to his proposal.
Meanwhile, someone also slammed Alex for not standing up to Meredith on his girlfriend's behalf.
"I know Jo gets a lot of flack for being annoying, but I get where she's coming from. Alex just stands by whenever Meredith says something mean about her. Even though we all know Alex does care about Jo, he doesn't tend to vocally be in her corner," Amanda said.
In other news, "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 is currently on a winter hiatus. The series will return early next year to reveal more details about Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) and Owen Hunt's (Kevin McKidd) dark past, according to Design N Trend.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will premiere with episode 9 on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
