Miley Cyrus has denied recent reports that she is pregnant and unsure who the father might be. Rather, the star is currently hung up on the death of her rescue dog Floyd.
The 21-year-old "Adore" singer tweeted on April 1: "Today is the 2nd worst day of my life," adding "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away. I am broken."
Cyrus, who is currently on her Bangrez Tour, scheduled to conclude in Uniondale, NY, later this month, says the experience is a "nightmarish" one. Cyrus owns four other rescue dogs.
Rumors she might be pregnant were sparked following the publication of the April 14 issue of Life & Style magazine, which carried a report stating that, for quite some time now, Cyrus has been engaging in multiple one-night stands. All these have resulted in an unplanned pregnancy, the report said.
The magazine quotes an anonymous friend of the signer saying, "She is at the height of her career and isn't ready for a baby." The friend reportedly added, "I don't think she would even know who the father is, since she has been so promiscuous."
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life reports that when it contacted the singer's reps, they denied the rumors. "It is absolutely not true," the rep told the website.
The website quotes a person close to the singer as telling them exclusively that "Miley is definitely not pregnant. She takes the proper precautions for that not to happen, she is very smart about things when it comes to that and is not going to have a kid especially around this high point in her career."
Nevertheless, Hollywood Life reports that ever since Cyrus broke up with the 24-year-old Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, her sexual behavior has intensified.
