It sounds like it is bad news for "The Young and The Restless" star Daniel Goddard since he had some complications from his previous injury and he was brought to the hospital for an emergency surgery.
According to Soap Opera Spy, a few months ago Daniel accidentally broke his elbow while he was on the set of "The Young and The Restless" as he was on character as Cane Ashby while on a fight scene with Joe Clark (played by Scott Elrod).
Yesterday, Daniel took to Facebook and updated his fans about his condition. He posted a photo of his infected and injured left arm and captioned it with "I've been an a shocking amount of pain lately and unable to bend my arm... and now I know why. My body is rejecting the metal used to hold my broken elbow back together and I have now developed an infection. My doctor has scheduled immediate surgery at noon today to get the hardware out ASAP. What a complete bummer. Anyway... Just wanted to let you know what is going on... ❤U. You're in my thoughts," he wrote.

According to Soap Zone, Goddard also updated his Twitter followers about his condition and posted the same photo and wrote, "Emergency surgery scheduled for today. My body is rejecting the metal in my elbow and I have get it out ASAP :(."
Meanwhile, Soap Opera Network reported that Daniel originally broke his arm last Sept. 18 while he was taping a fight scene. When the accident took place, Daniel posted on Twitter "I am just so bummed out," he wrote. And on Sept. 23 he updated his Twitter followers again and informed them that he had a surgery to put screw and wire on his broken elbow back together.
Ever since that accident happened Daniel has been updating his fans with the surgeries that he went through as well as his developments. However, with his recent setback it looks like it will take awhile before Daniel can completely recover and return to set.
