'X-Men: Apocalypse' Updates, Spoilers & Premiere Date: Mystique Becomes One Of The Heroes; Quicksilver Said To Have A Huge Role

Director Bryan Singer has been active on his social media accounts to give the fans a glimpse on the upcoming film, "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Parent Herald reported that Singer recently uploaded an image of James McAvoy wearing Cerebro. During the San Diego Comic Con Panel event, the production showed footage of Professor X being overwhelmed by Apocalypse's powers. It was said that this scene shows Professor X trying to track a super villain and this reportedly explains why the character was in such state.

It was reported earlier that Singer wanted to show the rebirth of the X-men and for some of the popular stars in the franchise, they revealed that this movie might be the last of their appearances in the series. In recent interviews, a bald McAvoy teased that the upcoming film is the biggest film that they have ever done. Although no official synopsis or plot has been revealed yet, sources reveal that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be approximately 10 years after the previous movie ended and this movie will also end the trilogy which was started with "X-Men: First Class."

Latinos Health reported that some fan favorite characters will be back in the movie and this also includes Evan Peters who will reprise his role as Quicksilver. The character was first seen in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and it was revealed that in the upcoming movie, the character will be featured in bigger scenes. In an interview, Peters revealed that the upcoming film might just be the biggest X-Men film yet. Peters also revealed that his character is searching for his father and is determined to find him. Rumors suggest that he is the son of Magneto.

Other sources also reveal that Mystique might be one of the heroes' allies in the upcoming film. Speculations reveal that Mystique will be alongside Professor X in leading the team in the filed given her abilities.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit the big screen on May 27, 2016.
