Joe Trohman, Fall Out Boy guitarist, has sold his 2,000-square-foot home in Lincoln Park, Chicago, for $760,000, reports the Chicago Tribune.
While not much detail is known about the two-bedroom townhouse or the buyer, the report says 29-year-old Trohman purchased the property for $685,000 in 2006, and subsequently renovated it to fit his rock 'n' roll style.
The listing on Redfin shows that the guitarist's home includes a master suite with built-in closets and a spa-like master bath. The property also has a third bedroom, which is being used as a family room. On the outside, it has a landscaped yard and an attached garage.
Trohman originally put the property, located in the prestigious Embassy Club area, on sale in August for $869,000. The house saw a series of price cuts, first to $849,000, then $799,000 and finally $790,000 before it finally found a buyer.
According to listing agent Timothy Salm, Trohman sold the property as he spends most of his time in Los Angeles and New York these days.
This is corroborated by the public records that show that the musician bought a four-bedroom house in the Los Feliz Hills area of Los Angeles in December for $1,915,000. In addition, Trohman also owns a residence in New York City's West Village that he purchased for $750,000 in August 2009.
In addition to his association with Fall Out Boy, Trohman is also the lead and rhythm guitarist for heavy metal band The Damned Things. In 2007, Fall Out Boy's album "Infinity on High" made it to the No. 1 slot on the U.S. Billboard 200. Taking a break from The Damned Things, Trohman and Josh Newton formed With Knives, releasing their debut EP "Schadenfreude" in April 2012 with Trohman on lead vocals and guitar.
