Adam Podlesh, former Chicago Bears football punter and current free agent, has recently put his 4,348-square-foot Colonial-style home in Libertyville Lake County, Ill., up for sale for $949,000, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Just days after Podlesh was released by his club following three years of work, he listed the 0.55-acre property he acquired for $797,000 in 2011.
A modest property for a professional athlete like Podlesh, the brick house was built in 2000 and includes five bedrooms and five full and one half bathrooms. In all, the athlete's home has 14 rooms, including a two-story family room with a fireplace and several windows.
The suburban McMansion features a two-story foyer, a finished basement with a media room, an exercise room and a bar. According to the report, the media room is complete with framed jerseys hanging all around the pool table.
The property is listed with Michele Wilson of Coldwell Banker.
Podlesh, 30, was named to the Jewish Sports Review's 2005 College Football All-America Team. He was also elected to the Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in June 2008. Podlesh joined the Chicago Bears in July 2011 and spent three seasons with the team. During the last two seasons, however, he struggled with his form and was released by the Bears last month.
Podlesh was diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland in 2010, but returned to the field within six weeks of a successful surgery.
