Battle of the royals? The Duchess Kate Middleton faces a new feud with another royal? It is not long ago that Kate Middleton was rumored in facing some troubles regarding her relations with Queen Elizabeth and Camilla Parker-Bowles. Now the Duchess of Cambridge is facing yet another feud, and this time with Sophie Wessex.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the feud between The Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie Wessex started through a speech that Wessex gave for 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner in New York. The speech suggests emphasis on Wessex education background and knowledge in running her own business which is said to be a diss towards Middleton who has not worked even in the onset of her marriage to Prince William.
"At the ostentatious 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner held at Cipriani's restaurant the Countess of Wessex gave a speech in front of some of the wealthiest women in New York City. Countess Sophie, who is the "Global Ambassador" for the 100WHF said, "I am rare because I am one of the few ladies in the British Royal Family who has had a professional business career and their own company." Was this a direct and to-the-point criticism of Kate Middleton's spotty employment history prior to marrying Prince William?" according to the outlet.
Apparently, the rumors regarding Kate Middleton and Sophie Wessex pitch in even in the past. Daily Mail suggests in their article that the Countess of Wessex "steals" the spotlight from Middleton before and is "jealous" for the attention that the Duchess gets.
"Privately, there is said to be more than a little envy that, while the Countess of Wessex shares many of the same designers as the Duchess of Cambridge, it has always been Kate who gets the credit," based from Daily Mail.
In addition, the article also wrote, "She could never, of course, compete with the willowy young Duchess almost 20 years her junior, but Kate has made Sophie very conscious of one curious fact for a senior royal woman: that she could walk down a High Street in any town in Britain and most people would not recognize her."
What do you think about the feud growing over the royals? Did the Countess of Wessex really aimed to wing out Kate with her speech?
