'LG Ray X190' Specs, Review, Features: New LG Smartphone Comes With 8 MP Front Camera, 13 MP Rear Camera, 3000 mAh Battery, 1 GB RAM, No LTE

LG has just recently announced a phone dubbed as the "LG Ray X190". Bound to arrive early next year, the "LG Ray X190" is the perfect phone for people looking for a large screened phone within budget. The "LG Ray X190" has a 5.5 inch IPS screen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The look of the phone is slightly similar to the "LG G4" with a brushed aluminum back, although the rear isn't actually made of aluminum. Furthermore, the "LG Ray X190" runs Android Lollipop v5.1 and is powered by Mediatek MT6592M chip with an octa core 1.4 GHz Cortex A7 processor and Mali 450MP4 GPU. There is a microSD slot with unconfirmed capacity and an internal memory of 16 GB.

"LG Ray X190" Good Side

The phone has the dual sim function and comes with high camera megapixels. The rear cam is 13 MP with LED flash and autofocus, and the secondary camera is an 8 MP camera. Also, the battery is a massive Li Ion 3000 battery. All these goodness at only 220 Euros.

It's easy to conclude that the "LG Ray X190" is a fairly good deal. You can't always find a phone with an 8 MP front cam within the 200+ budget. Plus, a 3000 mAh battery is too big for a budget phone. We have seen flagship phones go below the 3000 mAh battery margin, making the "LG Ray X190" a really good buy.

"LG Ray X190" Bad Side

Well, the RAM is just 1 GB, and there is no LTE (just 3G). The display resolution is also pretty low at 267 PPI. It could have been nice if they had at least packed the phone with 1.5 or 2 GB RAM, and then included LTE support. But then again, it would've cost the phone more. The lack of LTE and the low RAM size do make this phone a bit comparable to budget phones from two years ago. However, with a budget friendly price like that, it's understandable if LG had to compromise some parts of the phone.

"LG Ray X190" Conclusions

Clearly, the "LG Ray X190" had to sacrifice the display, RAM and LTE network to keep the price at a minimum. Luckily, the cameras weren't included in the sacrificial parts. So overall, the "LG Ray X190" is still a nice buy, especially for photography and selfie lovers.
