Peaches Geldof posted picture of herself and her mom right before death

Peaches Geldof, television presenter and writer, was found dead in her home in Wrotham, Kent, on Monday afternoon, reports the BBC. She was just 25.

She leaves behind her rock singer husband Thomas Cohen and their two sons - 23-month-old Astala and nearly 1-year-old Phaedra.

Peaches herself was just 11 years old when her mother Paula Yates, who was also a writer and TV presenter, died due to drug overdose in September 2000. Peaches was unable to overcome the tragedy of Paula's death even several years later. Incidentally, her death occurred hours after she posted her picture with her late mother on Instagram with the caption "Me and my mum."

The Kent Police, who visited her home around 1.35 p.m., described the death as "sudden" and "unexplained," but said that they did not find any suicide notes, hard drugs or visible signs of injury. They said that they are not treating the death as "suspicious."

Confirming her death, Peaches' father Bob Geldof said in a statement: "We are beyond pain," adding, "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

"How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?" He said, "We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is."

Her husband Cohen also issued a statement, saying: "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by me and her two sons," adding, "I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever."

Born in 1989, Peaches began her media career at the tender age of 15. Initially, she wrote a column for the magazine Elle. A year later, she began contributing to The Telegraph as well as The Guardian and appearing on television shows, including "OMG! with Peaches Geldof" on ITV2.
