Sheryl Crow, nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, slashed the asking price for her nearly 11-acre Hollywood Hills gated estate comprised of three houses to $11.95 million, reports Radar Online.
This is the third price cut since the property was listed in October 2012 for $15.95 million. Crow previously slashed the price to $13.9 million in January 2013 and to $12.5 million in July.
According to RealEstalker, the 5,437-square-foot main house of this three-parcel property is a Spanish Revival construction with four bedrooms and three full and one half bathrooms. Built in 1925, the house was later remodeled and restored. It features a two-story foyer, a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room and lofted beamed ceilings. The home also comes with a library and a 1950s eat-in kitchen adjacent to the family room.
A Brazilian-style ironwood bridge from the main house connects a thoroughly restructured and renovated 1,334-square-foot cottage with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, in addition to dining and lounging decks ideal for sunbathing. Built in 1885, these two cottages are set along the hillside, offering views of the canyon and the city. This part of the property also includes a swimming pool and a spa.
Built in 1909, the third building has 3,335 square feet of living space, including three bedrooms, three vintage bathrooms, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a dining room. The residence is complete with a kitchen equipped with traditional appliances, a TV room and a small room with an old-timey piano.
According to RealEstalker, the "Soak Up The Sun" singer purchased the property in two separate deals, paying $1.8 million for the smallest parcel, measuring 0.25 acre and host to the main residence, in February 1998. She paid $3.3 million to purchase the other two parcels - one measuring 1.2 acres and boasting the cottage, and the second measuring 8.87 acres with the third residence - in December 1998.
In addition to this Los Angeles compound, 51-year-old Crow also owns a Gulf-front house in the Florida panhandle between Pensacola and Panama City in Santa Rosa Beach, in addition to more than 50 acres of land in Nashville.
