Susan Hilfiger, the former wife of famous fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger, has reportedly slashed the price of her Nantucket island estate, pricing it at $24.9 million.
The house first debuted on the market for $27 million last July but failed to find a buyer, reports Curbed.
Tommy and Susan purchased the property when they were together in 1996 for just $4.6 million. Susan received the residence in her divorce settlement when they split in 2000.
The Lincoln Avenue home was in the news in 2012 when Susan sued her interior decorator Todd Alexander Romano for $1 million, claiming he had duped her into paying too much for the stuff he said he purchased but never delivered. The lawsuit turned ugly after Romano countersued, saying Susan was a "shopaholic" and pressed the false charges because he declined to marry her, according to New York Daily News.
Listing records of the home, popularly known as "Point of View," state that the residence is a 6,797-square-foot, multi-winged, single-family home sitting on more than an acre of land.
The double-story home has French doors and windows, paneled hardwood flooring and drywall ceilings.
The main floor of the residence has a formal living room, three seating areas, a powder room, an alcove, a formal dining room, a den, a sunroom and a huge kitchen with custom-cabinetry, a built-in pantry and an eat-in area.
A sweeping staircase leads up to the upper level that has seven guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and the master suite. An office is also located on the top floor.
There is a basement level below that runs throughout the expanse of the house. The level has a family room, a garden room and a half bath.
"This iconic American summer home sits atop Cobblestone Hill; in the sought-after Lincoln Circle area; with lawn and grounds descending to Jefferson Avenue in Brant Point," the listing reads. "Expansive 180 degree views over the Harbor; Jetties and Nantucket Sound live up to the name of this one-of-a-kind estate property: Point of View."
Susan also owns a home in Greenwich, Conn. Meanwhile, Tommy's penthouse at the Plaza Hotel is up for grabs for $80 million.
