Kendrick Lamar's Fresh Verse Highlights Fresher, Brighter Funk Beat For Jay Rock's 'Traffic Jam'

Kendrick Lamar strikes again with his fresh verse which he lent for Jay Rock's funky remixed version of 'Easy Bake' for the upcoming song 'Traffic Jam' for his new album.

According to Rolling Stone, Jay Rock's 'Easy Bake' featuring Kendrick Lamar stood out from the rest of the tracks in the recent '90059 LP' album. In fact, last Wednesday, Top Dawg Entertainment released a remixed version of that cut referring to the song, 'Traffic Jam.'

Kendrick Lamar's new verse being added to 'Traffic Jam' has given 'Easy Bake' a new style. It was described "fresher, brighter funk beat." Lamar kicked off with his vibrant alliteration and ended the verse with a boast "that he's an all-star like Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul."

Aside from Lamar, Top Dawg rapper, SZA was also featured to Jay Rock's new 'Traffic Jam' song with a huge contribution to the remix compared to her role in the previous 90059 album version with her "soulful outro" with 'Easy Bake.'

Because of the remix upgrade she did on this one, it became the party-starting intro for Jay Rock's 'Traffic Jam.' Rolling Stone added that the new song contains the remix from the original 'Easy Bake.'

The successful remix of the song is all due from the contribution of the producers Antydote, thankgod4cody, and Chris Calor, with MixedByAli, the serving engineer.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock recently wrapped up the 'To Pimp a Butterfly' which is the rapper's eight-date Kunta's Groove Session tour.

90059 is the second album by Jay Rock under Top Dawg Entertainment which was released last September 11 this year, Rolling Stone said.

'Easy Bake,' on the other hand, is an album cut shared by Kendrick Lamar and the member of his Black Hippy collective, Jay Rock, and was released in September 11, 2015.

The Jay Rock-Kendrick Lamar collaboration was made after discovering their chemistry during their first showcase on "good kid, m.A.A.d city's 'Money Trees'" three years ago.
