Wayne Gretzky lists Beverly Hills mansion for $10.5 million

Wayne Gretzky and wife Janet have put their home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., up for sale for $10.5 million, the RealEstalker reports.

According to the listing, the 8,711-square-foot home includes five bedrooms, six full and one half bathrooms, in addition to a separate pool house complex. On the rear of the building, a number of rooms open to intricately designed balconies overlooking the backyard.

On the outside, there are several chaise loungers along a large swimming pool.

Not far from the pool lies a pool house complex complete with an exercise room, a poolside dining space equipped with an outdoor fireplace, a poolside lounge pavilion and a trellis above an open-air kitchen. The pool house complex also includes a barbeque station.

Quoting property records, RealEstaker reports that the couple purchased the single-story property for $2,765,000 in November 2009 before sprucing up the place, adding the swimming pool and additional structures in the backyard.

The former Canadian ice hockey head coach sold his gated property in Beverly Hills for an undisclosed amount to business magnate Eric Smidt in the mid-1990s.

Last year, the couple listed an over 5,600-square-foot mansion in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $3,395,000, unloading it just months later for $2,875,000. The couple also listed a townhouse-type dwelling with four bedrooms and four bathrooms in Sherwood Country Club for $1,899,000 last year.
