NBA Trade Rumors: Dallas Mavericks Looking to Get Joakim Noah of the Bulls

Perhaps the usual center player being involved every now and then in the rumor mill is Joakim Noah, of course aside from DeMarcus Cousins and his alleged ego. Noah is once again in the center of the speculations as he is being connected once more with a possible trade deal. This time around, the team who is said to be interested to add up Noah in their line-up is none other done the Dallas Mavericks of Marc Cuban.

Noah has been in the rumor mill since the preseason. It has been originally rumored that the Bulls is cutting him off because of his low performance in the offensive end. According to some reports, Noah is not able to go along well with the offensive approach or strategy of their new coach. Pippenainteasy also suggested that "Noah is getting older and losing that energy he used to always play with. He also doesn't seem to fit into the offensive direction the Bulls are moving in."

With the presence of Paul Gasul and the relatively significant game time being given to Nikola Mirotic, it would be safe to consider that his role as the main big guy of the Bulls has been eclipsed by the presence of both Gasul and Mirotic in the lineup. In line with the rumored decline of game performance and possible trade, franchiseherald reported that,

"Coming off the bench this year, Noah has averaged just three points and 8.5 rebounds a game. His shooting percentages have been noticeably horrendous. Noah's shooting 34 percent from the field and a dreadful 31 percent from the line, yet apparently, the Dallas Mavericks are interested in acquiring the 30-year-old big man."

The presence of Noah would of course be appreciated by the Mavs. According to franchiseherald, "the Mavs have gotten off to a wonderfully surprising 8-4 start as Matthews looks like his old self as does Parsons. Despite this, it will still be hard to make the playoffs without another dominant big. Both McGee and Pachulia aren't starters on a good team. Which is where Noah comes in." But it is still early to conclude or believe the said rumor, for Noah has still more time to adjust and show off the reason behind him being known as the Bull's main big guy.
