Trisha Yearwood, country singer, actress and author, has listed her 6,553-square-foot, two-story Brentwood home located at 9324 Concord Road for $2.2 million, reports the Tennessean.
The listing on Realtor describes the 50-year-old singer's home as a "countryside paradise in the city."
"I had all the charm of an older home, but it had all the bells and whistles of a new house," Yearwood told the Tennessean.
Set on a 4.2-acre lot, the country home includes five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a spacious living room, a formal dining room, a breakfast room and a hobby room. In all, the home has 13 rooms. The home features hardwood flooring, lofty ceilings, rustic furnishings and plenty of natural light. French doors from the living room lead to a covered patio.
The traditional-style house boasts two gated entrances and an outdoor swimming pool. The property is complete with an antique elevator, a detached guest house, a number of fireplaces, a covered deck, patio, covered porch, a driveway and a fully-fenced yard. The home also comes with a two-car garage.
Yearwood purchased the 1920s house in 2000 prior to her marriage to Garth Brooks and after living in a log cabin in Hendersonville, N.C., for some time. The previous owners of the property were an architect and a designer. She said it was love at first sight for her and the property.
The house has been featured in television shows twice - first, in a Great American Country cooking special program shot in her kitchen and second during a Christmas special program on HGTV.
According to the Tennessean, Yearwood and Brooks are moving back to Music City, as their youngest daughter is preparing to attend college.
