Freddy Rodriguez of 'Six Feet Under' lists Gold Coast condo for rent

Freddy Rodriguez, the actor known for portraying Hector Federico "Rico" Diaz on HBO's "Six Feet Under," has just put up his Gold Coast condo in Chicago for rent for $3,300 a month, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The two-bedroom condo was the summer residence of Rodriguez, a native of Chicago who spends most of his time in Los Angeles' Woodland Hills neighborhood these days. Spread over 1,300 square feet, the apartment includes two full bathrooms and features marble and hardwood floors, granite countertops and cherry cabinets. The condo comes with a one-car garage.

According to the listing, the property is complete with a kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. There is a living room, dining room and a breakfast bar. In all, there are five rooms in this upscale condo. Residents also enjoy the services of a 24-hour doorman.

The website quotes listing agent Patricia Anderson of Weichert as saying, "He's busy in California," adding, "He loves Chicago and he wants to keep this place because he plans to come back someday."

Another report in the Chicago Tribune quotes Anderson as saying, "It's really nice, with fresh marble and wood floors, new countertops, and it's in walking distance to everything." She added, "At the same time, it's on a quiet, tree-lined street."

The corner lot property is minutes away from the lake and Michigan Avenue. Thirty-nine-year-old Rodriguez purchased the condo for $405,000 in 2006, while he acquired the 3,012-square-foot Los Angeles house for $482,000 in 2001.

A Lincoln Park High School graduate, Rodriguez began his acting career at a very young age and appeared in a number of plays, including "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Twelve Angry Men," "The Crucible," "A Midsummer's Night's Dream" and "The Lottery." In addition to "Six Feet Under," Rodriguez is known for acting in and producing "Planet Terror" and "Harsh Times."
