Kevin Sorbo of 'Hercules' fame lists Westlake Village estate for $4.5 million

Kevin Sorbo, famous for portraying Hercules as well as other brawny heroes, and his actress wife Sam Jenkins have put their 1.5-acre Westlake Village estate in California up for sale for $4.5 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.

This renovated Mediterranean-style gated property offers 7,556 square feet of living space and includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The home is complete with a den, a game room, two offices and a home theater with a two-tier seating arrangement.

The exteriors of the property include a spa, a swimming pool, a putting green, an outdoor fireplace and a covered area for entertaining.

Local property records show the couple purchased the property for $3.2 million in 2008. The estate is listed with hired real estate agent Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates.

Newsday reports that 55-year-old Sorbo unloaded a 10,000-square-foot house in Bridgehampton, N.Y., through his family trust - Sorbo Family Trust - for $7 million in February 2010. Sitting on a 4.5-acre lot, the mansion contains seven bedrooms and seven full and one half bathrooms. Sorbo purchased this parcel for $2.25 million in 2006 and built the house on it.

Earlier, the couple sold another home in Water Mill for $3.8 million and owned and rented other Hamptons houses, too.

A former model, Sorbo appears in "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Andromeda." Sorbo will star in the upcoming films "Forgiven" and "Beyond the Game." He voiced Hercules in the video game "God of War" and Prometheus in the video game "The Conduit." His voice can also be heard as Ka-Zar in Cartoon Network's "Super Hero Squad Show."

Jenkins, 47, is also a former model and played Serena on the television series "Hercules."
