James Van Der Beek has unloaded his Valley Village home in North Hollywood for $1,155,000, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Built in 1936, this modern home is spread over 3,017 square feet and has four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, in addition to a bonus room and a fireplace, according to the listing on Zillow. Features include exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and both hardwood and slate flooring.
The master suite includes a steam shower, spa tub and French doors overlooking the swimming pool. The gourmet kitchen is complete with a bar counter, Wolf stove and SubZero refrigerator.
The exteriors include an outdoor patio and a heated Pebble Tec pool.
A separate Zillow report notes that the 37-year-old actor bought the home for $1.26 million in 2005. He never lived in this residence and leased it out for nearly $5,000 a month. The property first appeared on the market in August for $1,295,000 and witnessed two price cuts within a brief period. It was listed with real estate agent Kofi Natei Nartey of The Agency.
The real estate website quotes Nartey as saying that he was inspired to sell the property prior to beginning his new CBS comedy series. The actor has been living in another home in Los Angeles.
Van Der Beek is largely recognized for his portrayal of Dawson Leery in The WB series "Dawson's Creek." He landed his breakout role on the hugely popular teen drama in 1997. He is also popular for portraying a fictionalized version of himself on the ABC sitcom "Don't Trust the B - in Apartment 23."
He later starred in films such as "Varsity Blues" and "Rules of Attraction."
