Selena Gomez is active in the dating scene but says she is reluctant about the whole thing. She also talks about ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and former One Direction member Zayn Malik.
"Hotel Transylvania 2" star Gomez admitted in an interview that she is dating someone but refuses to identify the lucky guy. According to E! Online, the singer and actress gamely talked about her current love life but she deflected questions about her ex-boyfriend Bieber who was seen with her strolling in Beverly Hills. Bieber dedicated a song and serenaded Gomez the same night in a hotel bar. Both singers dated for three years and decided to call it off in 2014. When asked to comment about the incident with Bieber, she said "I'm just tired of talking about it. I never intended for my life to become a tabloid story."
Gomez then proceeded to share that she is indeed seeing someone but stopped short of mentioning his name. She also talked about how difficult it is for her to date which is why she is reluctant. She said, "It's hard and I'm weirded out by the idea that a guy has googled me before we meet, and that has happened."
In a report by People, the former Disney Channel child star also revealed some of her frustrations with dating. She is already 23 but she complains that her looks often turns away older guys from asking her out. She said, "I feel like I look 16 sometimes, which is a bummer because I would love to date older guys."
Gomez also clarified rumors that she is dating Zayn Malik, a former singer for the boy group One Direction. She said if there was any truth to the circulating rumors, her fans would be the first to know. She said, if he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him. Just kidding, but not kidding."
