"Sister Wives" has just wrapped up its season 6 last Sunday, Nov. 22. While TLC has not made an official announcement whether the show will be renewed, "Today Show" host Tamron Hall has hinted of a possible renewal. Hall teased that season 7 will focus on the arrival of Kody and Robyn Brown's new baby.
"#SisterWives tough reunion, see you next season!" Hall recently tweeted, adding the hashtag #newbaby.
As previously reported, Kody and her new legal wife Robyn are expecting a daughter in January 2016. The two made their baby gender reveal during episode 12 of the last season. This will be Kody's 18th child, his second with Robyn. Robyn also has three children from her previous marriage, who Kody has legally adopted last season.
Hall acted as the moderator in the tell-all episode of the reality series, aired after its season 6 finale. In the special, the entire Brown family, famous for their polygamous lifestyle, sat with Hall and talked about behind-the-scenes revelations pertaining to the scandals that hit them this year.
Hall also revealed that this was her "most complex" interview to date, and applauded the Brown family for being "open and real."
In the special, Kody's first wife, Meri, explained her side to her cheating scandal which she confessed during the season finale. She gave "loneliness" as a reason for her indiscretion, but insisted that her online affair was purely an emotional one.
"I've never met this person, I've never seen him," she said.
The Brown children also aired their sentiments regarding their family's controversial culture, and openly said that they do not want to enter plural marriages when it's their turn to get married.
"I'm not one for plural marriage, I never will be for plural marriage," 20-year-old Maddie, Kody's daughter with second wife Janelle, said.
Kody assured the family's followers that he is standing by his wife throughout this ordeal. The Brown patriarch also hinted of a season 7 when he mentioned a "next time" on his recent tweet.
"We'll keep working on our happy until next time," he tweeted.
According to Radar Online, the "Sister Wives" tell-all episode raked up 2.1 million viewers, beating "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" season 11 premiere with 1.55 million.
