Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was Known as Redmi Note 2 Pro Until a Day Before Launch; A 1080p Full HD Display and a 4,000 mAh Battery

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was recently shown to the public for the first time on Nov. 24 and it was actually previously known as Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. The higher ups decided to change its name a day before the actual unveiling.

Nevertheless, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a lot to offer. It is a 5.5-inch display screen capable of displaying 1080p or Full HD quality that supports reading mode. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 flagship processor. It contains a 4,000 mAh battery so user will have more time to use the phone in-between charging and a fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds, as stated in the official announcement.

The Note 3 also comes equipped with a 13-MP PDAF Autofocus with a two-tone flash on the rear and a 5-MP front-facing one with 36 Smart Beauty profiles. It has a full aluminium metal body with a 8.65mm thickness, weighs 164 grams, and the curved edges make it perfect for the grip. It is available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey colors.

The latest creation of the Chinese-based phone company contains two SIM slots that both support 4G network and an 802. 11 a/c Wi-Fi connectivity. It is offered in two variants, a 2GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage and a 3 GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage. Prices are pegged at RMB 899 (around $141) for the 2GB model while the 3 GB version, is priced at RMB 1099 (around $172), as reported by Ecumenical News.

The Redmi Note 3 is actually a third generation of the series and boast about the new features and designs. It is also the first Mi phone to have a full metal body and a fingerprint security sensor. It is also slightly heaver than the Note 2, four grams more to be exact.
