Tracy Morgan is Back, Shares 'He Went To the Other Side," and Excited About Red Foxx Role

Tracy Morgan is back and everybody knows it! The comedian has had a scare last year when he got involved in a fatal car crash that took the life of his friend, which, fortunately, he survived.

His national stand-up tour has been sold out and gathering rave reviews, with audiences commenting that it is better that ever.

In an interview with People, Morgan says he is better than ever and "feels like a complete artist again." There is no slowing down for him at this point. He just had a successful return to Saturday Night Live, made a surprise appearance at the Emmy Awards, not to mention his role in the much-anticipated Lee Daniels' Richard Pryor biopic in which he'd play Red Foxx.

Despite his busy schedule after his return, he still makes sure to spend time with wife Megan and their 2-year-old daughter, Maven. Both have joined him in the funny advertisement for Footlocker Week of Greatness. He says that after the order they have gone through the past year, just being together feels really good.

When People asked how it feels to back, he animatedly responded, "It feels good, because now it's complete. I just did my first comedy shows, and that's the foundation for my whole career, my stand-up. ...They were great shows, we got great reviews, so now the confidence is really starting to emerge."

Was he ever scared of hosting SNL? He said, "I'm never scared. It was exciting to me. Scared people can't wait for it to be over. I can't wait for it to start. That's always been me. I can't wait for the game to start."

About his role as Red Foxx in Richard Pryor biopic, he shared, "...It's going to be fun. It's going to be exciting, it's going to be adventurous, and I don't want to do a Redd Fox impression. I hope I can channel him."

In related news pertaining to him being in a coma, he shared with CNN that, "He went to the other side and spoke to God." For him, it was a life-altering experience.

Welcome back, Tracy Morgan!
