AMC and "The Walking Dead" may lose majority of their loyal fans if Steven Yeun's Glenn Rhee will be revealed to be alive.
According to Design N Trend, there are several reasons why fans of the hit series may choose to boycott the TWD if Glenn will not be killed off.
The publication noted that the producers of the show deliberately misled fans into thinking that Glenn could be dead.
As of late, it's highly possible that they already know whether or not they will kill off the character. There's a huge chance that they won't because Glenn is one of the most loved characters on "The Walking Dead."
If fans find out that the producers misled them, they may no longer trust the creators of the show the next time they leave them with a major cliffhanger such as this.
Additionally, Glenn's survival may also be questioned by audiences because it would suggest that any character on the show could survive no matter how daunting an incident is.
The publication added that it is necessary for the show to take death seriously, and to make death storylines as believable as possible.
If Glenn will still be alive, it would be as common thought among audiences that the producers of the show came up with a publicity stunt.
Since "The Walking Dead" season 6 hasn't been doing well in terms of ratings, it's possible that suggesting that Glenn is dead was their way of enticing fans to continue watching the show.
Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" season 6 will introduce new character Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) when the show returns in February.
In an interview with Variety, executive producer Scott M. Gimple said that episode 9 of the show will be the biggest one yet for the series.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
