Lorraine Bracco, the actress best known for playing "Dr. Jennifer Melfi" on the HBO hit series "The Sopranos" has reportedly purchased a home in the Hollywood Hills for $1.62 million.
According to The Real Estalker, Bracco purchased the place through a trust. Located in the Sunset Strip area of the prestigious neighborhood, the residence is a modern contemporary pad spread across an area of 1,872 square feet. It has two bedrooms, two full and one half bathroom set in two stories.
Interiors of the home show mixed flooring, drywall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer panoramic views of the sea and the city. Since the residence is perched over a small hill, the views are even better.
While the interiors of the home are striking, there is not much on the outside. A stretched verandah extends the width of the house.
Bracco previously owned a home in Snedens Landing, New York, which she unloaded for $2.7 million in 2011. She has another home in Bridgehampton, New York, which she listed briefly for $3.25 million but pulled off from the market soon after.
Bracco was recently in the headlines for her considerable weight loss. The actress shed an impressive 15 kgs and is now looking fitter than ever. Talking to the media about her weight loss, she revealed that her determination to shed some pounds arose after her parents' death in 2011.
"We were sitting there, dividing these medications, who gets what when. It was insane. I watched and realized, 'I don't want to go like that,'" she told ABC News. "I said, 'I want to be the best I could be.' I want to live every day the best I can be."
"I started off very slow. My feeling is also, you sign up to go to the gym and you go to two classes and then you can't walk. It's just not the way to do it," she said. "Now, I go to Pilates class three times a week. I love that there are women who are in their 80s in my class and there were kids who are 23."
