Missouri Real Estate News: Dunkin' Donuts to Open 14 New Restaurants in St. Louis and Two in Kansas City with Former NFL Players

America's favorite stop for coffee and baked goods, Dunkin Donuts, has announced that it will be developing 14 new restaurants in St. Louis and two in Kansas City, Missouri, through their multi-unit store development agreement with franchise group Berliner III, LLC.

"We are excited to expand the brand's presence throughout St. Louis and Kansas City and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Kris Brown, Dunkin' Donuts franchisee. "Since signing our first development agreement with Dunkin' Donuts in 2011, our passion and loyalty for the brand has only increased, and we look forward to opening additional restaurants in the years to come."

Berliner III, LLC, led by Kris Brown, Zach Wiegert, and David Scott, currently operate Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in North Kansas City, Mo., Omaha, Neb., and Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The first restaurant to open under the new development agreement will be operational in 2016, and the rest are scheduled to open by 2023.

According to their press release in PR Newswire, Dunkin' Donuts offers flexible concepts for any real estate format, including free-standing restaurants, end caps, in-line sites, gas and convenience, travel plazas, universities, as well as other retail environments in order to keep the brand fresh and competitive.

"Our enthusiastic and dedicated franchisees contribute to our brand's growth, which has helped solidify our position as one of the fastest growing brands by unit count in the quick-service restaurant industry," said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin' Brands. "We are thrilled Kris, Zach and David have chosen to expand in Missouri, and know these new restaurants will satisfy a growing consumer demand in the local communities they serve."

Dunkin' Donuts' new look includes four unique restaurant design options for franchisees, each featuring variations in layout, color schemes, graphics, textures, furniture, and/or lighting.

The designs improve the current restaurant appearance, environment and layout, to provide service for people all day long. Unlike other quick-service restaurants, Dunkin' Donuts allows their franchisees to opt for individual elements from any of the four options to create a restaurant design that reflects their own tastes and preferences, and what best serves their particular restaurant size and location.
