News about the LA Lakers' unsatisfactory record for this season has gone viral. NBA Legend Kobe Bryant has been stuck in a poor scoring rhythm for the past games which led to the team's poor standing.
Aside from Bryant's poor shooting performance in the past games, another factor for the Lakers' poor standing is the alleged mismanagement by Byron Scott. Scott does not have plans to bench Bryant. Byron puts his trust in Bryant to build up his offensive rhythm and hopefully pull off a comeback.
The franchise has earned this season's Western Conference's worst team with a standing of 2-12. Fans are hoping that the Lakers' top-three protection on their draft selection could help them rebuild.
History repeats itself as the franchise desperately scouts for a new superstar to graoom.
There have been rumors about a prospect draft, Ben Simmons. Simmons is an LSU Tigers Freshman and is allegedly being eyed by the Lakers for the "2016 NBA Draft Lottery". The franchise shows tanking behaviors that could help them acquire next year's prospect draft.
Simmons stands at 6'10" and 239 pounds. He is known for his pure point guard ability despite his physical stature.
Chris Walton from Hoops Habit says, "Simmons has the ability of a pure point guard, in the mold of LeBron James or Lamar Odom. Not only does he share a similar make-up to each player, but he brings it on the court, too."
Real GM reports, there is a possibility for a three-way trade involving the Lakers, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies. The said trade will feature Ryan Kelly, Lou Williams, and Nick Young.
But whatever moves the Lakers make, they assure to achieve it in three year's time:
"The Lakers will be a championship-level within three years," Battier said. "Los Angeles' ability to reload is unlike any other team in the league and then you throw in a top three pick, they get this kid Ben Simmons, who's a player... they're going to get free agents... they will reload before your eyes and you'll be shocked. Mark my words, within three years they'll be a championship contender." (The Lowe Post)
