John Krasinski of the "The Office" fame and his actress wife Emily Blunt have purchased a brand new residence in Los Angeles for $2.57 million.
The Trulia Blog broke news of the sale. The couple reportedly closed on the home in late April. This might be the couple's move to upgrade to a larger place as they recently welcomed their baby daughter, Hazel in February.
The new house is a 3,483-square-foot, single-family residence with beautiful airy interiors. The four bedroom-four bathroom house has hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and slider doors and beamed and drywall ceilings.
Living spaces of the residence include a modern kitchen, a dining area and a living room all set in an open floor plan. Outside, the home has a swimming pool and a sunken spa attached to it. The property also offers ample lounging area and a stone patio with a covered verandah and a garden.
Krasinski and Blunt have two more properties in their real estate kitty. They have a ranch in Ojai, which they bought for $2.15 million in 2008. That property serves as a vacation home for the couple. They also have a home in the heart of Hollywood, just beside Jimmy Kimmel's residence there. This is the same home, which Kimmel reportedly had gift-wrapped completely just to pull a prank on Krasinski.
"We sent eight trucks filled with holiday decorations and a 15-person crew to John and Emily's house. While John was at work we brought in trains and trees and candy canes. We wrapped more than 200 fake gifts. We covered the trees with bows and lights and snowflakes. We brought in giant toy soldier soldiers, fake snow and ornaments. We wrapped the doors, we wrapped the windows, we gift-wrapped every inch of the house," Kimmel explained on his show.
