'Mass Effect 4' News & Characters: Cerberus to Come Back, New Antagonist a Cross Between Collectors & Vorcha, Plus New Transportation System in Andromeda

Avid fans and die-hard gamers of "Mass Effect 4" have something to cheer about. This is after recent reports revealed that there will be a new antagonist and a new transportation system in the Andromeda. Cerberus will also make a major comeback in the game, a report from Master Herald said on Tuesday.

"Apparently, we're going to see Cerberus coming back in the new game, establishing a good link between it and the previous entries in the franchise, and there are also going to be other details that bring the game closer to the older ones. There will be an antagonist who's a cross between the Collectors and Vorcha and players will also be able to use a new transportation system in order to navigate the Andromeda. It's interesting to note that the game will apparently be aimed at significantly improving the exploration factor of the franchise, and players will have more opportunities to roam around their surroundings and explore new things," the report said.

Meanwhile, CrossMap reports that game developer Bioware has officially confirmed that "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" will be released in 2016. Although the game has been officially announced this year, there are only limited details that have been reported about the game. What is certain though is that the title will feature a new multiplayer mode, and some of the old characters will not be included once the new game is officially launched next year.

"The upcoming multiplayer mode is also going to be called 'Horde Mode.' The next Mass Effect's 'Horde' multiplayer pits you and up to three of your friends against waves of enemy troops on various battlefields throughout the galaxy. Players fight together to survive increasingly difficult enemy attacks and accomplish objectives, like disabling a bomb near a colony base or assassinating a target. Progress through multiplayer missions to gain XP and earn new multiplayer specific weapons, characters, weapon mods, and pieces of equipment, which can be customized between matches. Multiplayer play will also earn you APEX funds (in-game currency), which can be used to purchase items and gear in the Single Player game," the report said.
