The Mountain, Game of Thrones' Villain, Breaks 'Keg Toss' World Record

"Game of Thrones" fans, what you don't about Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson -- a.k.a. The Mountain -- will surprise you!

The Game of Thrones actor, Björnsson is 6 feet and 9 inches of pure power. We look at him as an intimidating force used for evil in the HBO series, killing some of your favorite characters, but you will be surprised to find out that in real life, this man is also a record breaker.

Björnsson recently participated in the world's strongest man competition and was qualified when he literally smashed the keg toss record by throwing the 33-pound, 24-feet and six-inch container over the high bar.

Björnsson who plays Gregor Clegane in the Sky Atlantic drama and known as The Mountain in the popular "Game of Thrones" series was hailed as the world's strongest man in Sweden's qualifying event.

In the video which was released in the Telegraph, the actor, who was already nicknamed "Thor," effortlessly hurled the barrel over a high bar. The audience cheered with amusement as he picked up an innocent bystander to celebrate his victory.

"It was easy! I could have broken the roof," said Björnsson in the interview.

"It was amazing to do this in front of the great crowd. Bring on Europe's Strongest Man," he added.

For the record, Björnsson has already won the title as the World's Strongest Man two years ago and was even named as Iceland's Strongest Viking for three years. According to Mashable, the Keg Toss is not the only record-breaking competition Björnsson was in.

He also beat the Scandinavian strongman world when he carried 1,433 lbs log for five paces in February, breaking a 1, 000-year-old Viking weightlifting record. Björnsson started his sporting career as a basketball player before he was recommended to do weightlifting by the four-time World's Strongest Man Magnús Ver Magnússon.

When the producers of the Game of Thrones series needed a large man to carry the previous role of Clegane, Björnsson was immediately selected and joined the cast in 2014.
