Tech News: Adobe’s First Video Editor for Android Now Released

Premiere Clip, Adobe’s first Video Editor for smartphones is now available for Android. The app is pretty much similar to the Premiere Clip on iOS.

According to The Verge, the video editor is user-friendly and a very capable video editor which lets the user assemble and combine numerous clips, adjust them and add music, too. Moreover, the video editor also offers to automatically put together videos and matches them with one of the built-in background tracks on the app.

As expected from Adobe, the Premiere Clip can be integrated with other Adobe-made apps such as pulling looks you’ve created on Adobe Capture. The Clip will also let you sync to the Premiere on desktop, wherein you can use the advanced tools available.

With the advanced camera features of smartphones nowadays, people are able to make home videos through their phone rather than the tiring conventional way of having to record on a video-cam, pulling the videos to the laptop or desktop and editing and rendering them there. Nowadays, a movie can be made within just the tap of a finger.

Clip is free to use, but you must have a subscription to be able to use the desktop application, Premiere. This strategy could help Adobe by having the loyal Clip users try the Premiere desktop application which they must pay for.

Adobe still has a lot of iOS apps on the table. Android users can now enjoy the functionality of an Adobe app on their phones. Users can just wish that this would just be the beginning of many more apps from the premiere company of photo and video editing softwares.

Are you an Android user? Have you tried using Adobe’s Premiere Clip? If not, will you try it? What are your thoughts on the app? Did it meet your expectations?
