Hilary Duff, the famous "Lizzie McGuire" star is reportedly renting a home in Hollywood for $6,000 a month. News of the rental comes months after Duff announced she and her NHL player husband Mike Comrie were separating.
According to TMZ, Duff is paying $6,000 a month for a 1,500-square-foot, two-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills. Pictures of the residence show sleek interiors with dark hardwood flooring, drywall ceilings and glass windows and slider doors.
Outside, the home has a lush green garden and a covered porch with thick wooden beams. There is ample lounging area in what looks like the backyard.
Several tabloids are calling Duff's move to rent a "mistake" as speculations about the couple re-kindling their relationship have been doing the rounds. The couple mentioned earlier while announcing the separation that they were trying to remain close for the sake of the their baby boy Luca.
Duff recently told Us Weekly that the relationship between her and Comrie was complicated and they were trying to work it out post separation.
"I don't think Mike would ever go anywhere. I mean, we are really dedicated to taking care of Luca, and we're really good friends who spend a lot of time together," she said.
But she also added that they were in no hurry to fix everything.
"We're not in a rush for anything. So we're just trying to enjoy our lives and figure out what makes us happy and it's working for us," Duff explained. The couple reportedly wants to see how it works out before they can file for a divorce.
Duff said that Comrie and she still care deeply about each other and Luca was their main priority.
"We're adults and we're making our way through life. Sometimes you do that together and apart and we're gonna be and we're going to do it in the most peaceful way possible," Duff added.
Duff owns a Beverly Hills pad too, which according to sources, her sister Haylie Duff is occupying. Haylie sold off her Toluca Lake home last year for $1.7 million.
