Just last week, Marvel released its trailer for 'Captain America: Civil Wars.' A preview that broke the Marvel Cinematic Universe's record for the most number views within 24 hours after its release. The DC superhero universe has answered this with an all new teaser for an equally huge movie to be released next year, 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.'
The highly anticipated DC film also talks about superheroes turning against each other, just like it's Marvel rival movie 'Civil War.' Its teaser which lasts for barely a minute has aired alongside Fox' Batman prequel TV series entitled 'Gotham' during its fall finale. The end of the sneak peek is Warner Bros' promise that the next full trailer will debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, same place where Civil War actors Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. introduced the record breaking trailer of their movie. The short clip showed Batman as a captive and Superman begrudgingly removing his mask. Speculations that this is a part of the full trailer that will be released this Wednesday.
The teaser is the first footage of the DC flick since the San Diego Comic-Con last July. 'Dawn of Justice' director Zack Snyder revealed the first two trailers for the movie during the conference, which showed Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) trying to see the gravity of destruction caused by Superman (Henry Cavill). It also showed Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) with a Kryptonite from Zod's body. 'Fast and Furious' actress Gal Gadot who will play Wonder Woman was also spotted in the trailer. Gadot is expected to film her own DC movie with 'Star Trek' actor Chris Pine.
The huge cast of Dawn of Justice will be joined by Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White, Diane Lane as Superman's mother Martha Kent and Holly Hunter as U.S. Senator Finch. Jason Momoa is said to appear for a cameo as Aquaman.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected to be released in theaters come March 2016.
