‘Jade Empire Special Edition’ Gameplay: EA Says Game Can Be Accessed Via On the House Promotion, Replaces ‘Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2’

Game developer Electronic Arts has announced that the company's next free game is "Jade Empire Special Edition." It was said that avid fans and die-hard gamers can access it via "On the House promotion." The company said that the free game will replace "Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2," which was offered for free back in September, a report from Gamespot said on Wednesday.

"In the game, you create a character and battle all types of human and supernatural enemies on your quest to become a martial arts master. The game gives you the choice to act for good or evil, and your choices affect how the game plays out. Head to Origin and download the game for free. There is no set time table for when the game will be replaced with a new one, so if you're interested, you may want to act quickly," the report said.

"There's no catch. Grab full games, expansions and more at absolutely no cost. Just make sure to act fast because On the House specials can appear and disappear at any time. Once you've claimed your game, it's yours to keep! Our goal is to provide a great gaming experience and a way to discover awesome new games. Having a game in your library, for free, is a fantastic way to see what Origin is all about," Origin said, as posted on its official website.

According to the report, "Jade Empire Special Edition" was developed by Bioware, a gaming studio owned by Electronics Arts. It was said that the above-mentioned game was released exclusively for Xbox console back in 2005, while the game's special edition in PC was released in 2007. Gamespot rated the video game with a score of 7.8/10.

"It's set in a marvelous mythological land of monstrous demons and martial arts that's inhabited by hysterical and heartbreaking characters, each with his or her own fascinating story," reads a review of the game by Gamespot. "If you cherish strong narratives in games and have appreciated the developer's previous efforts, this one won't disappoint you."
