NBA Trade Rumors: The Rockets Will Make Another Change, TY Lawson on the Brink of a Trade

The Houston Rockets seemed to have cleaned up their closet after they have fired their head coach Kevin McHale last month. However, the change which was supposed to bring some significant impact to the team's over-all performance is not yielding anything of greater value.

Still not making any run or sign of greater improvement, the Rockets is now once being rumored to be making another great change within the team. This time around, the change would involve a trade. According to some reports, the Rockets is now in a look for a player that would have significant contribution to their team. According to nbcsports, the Rocket is now looking to move their point guard TY Lawson. Nbcsports stated that;

"The Rockets have been sniffing around the league for deals and there is a belief among other teams that Lawson could be had in trade, and had cheaply. Lawson is owed $12.4 million this season with the final $13.21 million of his deal being fully non-guaranteed. As the Rockets search for ways to change, there is a belief that Lawson could be the first Rocket player moved. But given how poorly Lawson has played in Houston and his troublesome off-the-court history, it's hard to imagine that Lawson alone is going to yield much in return. But as teams start to get desperate, Lawson does have a career assist average of more than 6.5 assists per game and averaged 9.6 per game last season for the Nuggets."

As the trade deadline comes near, it would be logical for a struggling team to make some drastic changes concerning their line-up. And with Lawson's possible transfer, the team and the fans should not simply expect that it would be a winning move. Like with the firing of McHale which never yielded into anything special, aside from criticisms, this time around it would almost be the same. However, the only difference is they are more likely to choose a better exchange rather than what they have done with their coaching situation.
