The Milwaukee Bucks is on a tight spot this season having only won 7 matches of their 18 games. The team who was once known for its prominence on the defensive end last year seemed to have regressed from the known superiority. Despite the presence of a relatively veteran Power forward / Center player in their team, Greg Monroe, it seems like the Bucks are still trying to figure out how to showcase their aggressiveness.
Ranking only 13th in the Eastern conference of the NBA, the Bucks needs to boost up their defense in order to at least supplement what is lacking on the offensive end. That is why in connection to such concern, it is now being rumored that the Bucks is now looking for a defensive big man. According to some reports, the Bucks is eyeing on the Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel for a potential candidate and trade piece.
Most experts are unanimous in saying that Milwaukee "could benefit from trading for a defensive big man in order to balance things out and get them back to their 2014-2015 form," reported yibada. If indeed true that the Bucks is interested with Noel, then putting him with Monroe would really strike some balance.
Greg Monroe is a center player who is more inclined in the offensive end, and with the addition of another big man whose specialty is on defense, then Bucks might be able to gradually return to its previous state. With Noel's versatility and agility underneath, he could prove to be defensive presence for the ailing team.
And in order to put some fictional ending on the rumor, bleacherreport opined that O.J Mayo could be the perfect trade piece to complement the trade scenario. According to bleacherreport, "Since the Bucks are unwavering in their commitment to developing for the future, Mayo's expiring contract is more useful to them as a trade chip."
If indeed true, then it would perhaps be a win-win situation for both team. The Bucks would gain a defensive big man, while the Philadelphia 76ers would be adding a veteran presence in their line-up.
